The background
LaserX Design is built around the experience of Chris Hilton, a product engineer, welder, fabricator, machine builder, and manufacturing problem solver with years of hands-on experience turning designs into real equipment and repeatable processes.
That experience includes SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor, CNC programming, TIG and MIG welding, cobot programming, sensors, controls, networking, fixture development, production routings, troubleshooting, and the practical details that determine whether a design succeeds once it reaches the floor.
The focus is not design for appearance alone. Every project is approached with fabrication, assembly, wiring, access, serviceability, repeatability, and real-world use in mind.
Featured build
One of the clearest examples of the LaserX Design approach is a custom CNC plasma cutting table developed as a complete working machine rather than a collection of purchased parts.
The project included the machine frame, gantry, water table, automatic drain and fill system, electrical layout, machine wiring, controls, component integration, CAD work, fabrication, finishing, assembly, testing, and continued software development.
It demonstrates the full scope of the company: mechanical design, CAD, fabrication, CNC cutting, machine systems, controls, wiring, troubleshooting, and the ability to carry a difficult project through to a functioning result.
